Tomorrow is the first day of individual postseason implications on the girls side with regionals. While team regionals are under way, state qualifiers will be decided by the end of tomorrow. Much like districts on the Boys side, individual regionals features 2 singles players and 2 doubles teams from each team. A doubles and singles draw is created and the winners/runner-ups advance to the individual state tournament. Lets take a look at some of the players to watch out for!
Instead of going over each region, I wanted to provide a list of players who I think have a good shot at reaching the state tournament (by winning or finishing 2nd in their regional tomorrow). By no means are these the only players that have a chance at qualifying, but might be some to keep an eye on that could be competing for a state title on May 31. Feel free to post comments or discussion points, I would love to hear from you all about your thoughts on individual implications!

I don't believe anyone on these lists are a guarantee to make the state tournament, however they may be the favorites in their respective regions. It all comes down to what coach of each team decides and who they want to send in singles and doubles. Again, players can only qualify for singles or doubles, not both. There are many other great players who have the chance to begin their quest for a state tournament birth tomorrow and it should be fun to see what happens come tomorrow night! Happy Individual Regionals!
